Important Considerations for Microneedling

The Anti Aging and complexion Rejuvenation Benefits are Profound!

There are some general considerations that you should be aware of before microneedling. Let’s walk through the basics.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a cosmeceutical procedure, a procedure that achieves cosmetic results using medical-grade devices. It is capable of delivering a cosmetic grade and medical grade treatment beneath your skin. When microneedling, tiny needles from a motorised microneedling pen are used to make microscopic punctures in the skin.

These tears are called Microdermabrasions and through a process called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) it boosts your skins natural ability to produce high amounts of collagen deployed to the surface and depth of your skin which causes the formation of newer, more youthful skin. This is because the microscopic punctures created during the treatment (also known as microchannels) trigger a trauma/healing response in your skin. Your skin perceives that there has been a small injury and as a result, floods the tissue with the signal to naturally produce more collagen and elastin to heal the ‘wound’.

As the skin heals, so too do skin imperfection soften and even disappear completely. It is truly remarkable to see just how capable your skin is of repair. It is not unlike breaking a bone and it healing to be stronger than before.

Microneedling is helpful for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, stretch marks and dryness/dullness, making it an ideal antiaging wonder treatment.
